One of the recommended security measures in the Information Security Training is to password protect or "lock" your computer when you walk away from your desk.
This simple action prevents someone from using your computer without your knowledge. It is way more convienent than shutting down and restarting each time you leave your desk.
If you are not frequently backing up the data on your workstation, then you are basically playing electronic roulette with your data. Sooner or later, you will experience data loss either from hardware failure, accidental deletion, software problems, viruses and/or malware, or natural disaster. When researching a simple backup solution to offer you, I tried to use the technology you already have in your office. Here is a solution for you to backup your data. It is a two step process. Step one, use Cobian 6 backup to create a compressed zip file of all your data. Step 2, burn that zip file to CD-R or CD-RW.
The first thing you need to do is download Cobian 6 to your desktop. You can down load it here:

Next, to install Cobian 6 backup, double click on the Cbu6Setupold.exe file. Follow the on screen instructions. Note, when installing check, As an Application. No Auto Start
